Attention Scholars: The Milwaukee County Transit System no longer sells bus tickets and is switching to a card-based system for all bus riders. Starting today, each student will receive a M-Card Lite that is good for two rides, and each rides comes with a 90 minute transfer. A single M-Card Lite will provide you with enough fare to ride home from school and back to school the next day.

Today’s Black History Fact: On this date in 1902, famed Black Poet Langston Hughes was born. Hughes is particularly known for his insightful, colorful portrayals of black life in America from the twenties through the sixties. Before his death in 1967, he wrote fifteen collections of poetry, two autobiographies, and seven collections of short stories.
