Wrestling fan and recent MCA graduate Derek Jones received a big surprise on June 5 when he was taken for a private meeting with Phillip Jack “Phil” Brooks. Brooks is better known by the ring name CM Punk and is a mixed martial artist, comic book writer, and retired professional wrestler.
CM Punk was training at the world-famous Roufusport MMA Academy in Milwaukee. A huge MCA Lion shout-out to Scott Joffe and all of the staff and fighters at Roufusport for organizing an amazing graduation surprise as Derek prepares for his transition to UW-Platteville. The surprise was organized by social studies teacher Nicole Vurusic.
