Return to School Begins on May 18 with Hybrid Learning

All scholars at Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy will have the option to Return to School starting Tuesday, May 18 through the remainder of the school year using a hybrid schedule as follows:

Mondays
Independent work day (asyncronous learning from home); teacher professional development day and building deep clean.

Tuesdays (9 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.)
9th, 10th and 12th-grade scholars
Office Hours: 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

Wednesdays (9 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.)
9th, 10th and 12th-grade scholars
Office Hours: 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

Thursdays (9 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.)
11th and 12th-grade scholars
Office Hours: 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

Fridays (9 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.)
11th and 12th-grade scholars
Office Hours: 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

NOTICE: Scholars are expected to come to school with their Chromebooks charged.

The school will be enforcing strict social distancing, hygiene and cleaning practices. In addition, we will be constantly reminding our scholars, staff, and families to be mindful of key preventive measures. Deep cleaning of the building will conducted on Wednesday and Fridays after school hours. 

This decision was based on feedback from our families and scholars and after thoroughly reviewing guidance from local, state and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Please remember that if your children are sick, they should not be at school. Students need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to class after any illness. This is critical to prevention.

The past two months has been an incredibly challenging time for the entire HFCA  community. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we have dealt with this unprecedented situation. We look forward to seeing our scholars again soon.
