MCA juniors and seniors participated in the Moody’s Mega Math (M3) Challenge on February 25. The 14-hour challenge allows students experience what it is like to work as a team to tackle a real-world problem under time and resource constraints, akin to those faced by professional mathematicians working in industry. The Challenge is sponsored by The Moody’s Foundation and organized by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and awards $150,000 in scholarships each year.
