Transportation Policy

Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy students receive free transportation to and from school using Milwaukee County Busses. Students who live more than two miles from MCA will receive an M-Card. This card is a weekly pass that provides transportation Monday through Friday and requires a student ID be presented to the bus driver.

To Receive FREE Transportation from
HFCA a scholar must:

  • Maintain 90% attendance for the school year
  • Present their HFCA ID to ride the bus

If a student falls below 90% attendance:

  • They must meet with an Administrator and develop a plan to reach acceptable attendance

If a student does not schedule a meeting and has below 90% attendance:

  • Their M-Card will be deactivated

If a student misplaces their M-Card:

  • They must pay $2 for a replacement card (MCTS price)
  • And, replace stored value on their lost card (3.75 per day, 5 days or 17.50 max)

If a student does not have available funds to replace a lost M-Card:

  • They may be charged to a student’s account with parental permission and added to their student fees
